Established in 2002, Carmela Rose Designs is recognized for artful styling and innovative combining of semiprecious stones, unusual and rare crystals, pearls and lucite. These materials are used with components made of sterling silver, 14kt gold-filled or gold vermeil (18kt to 23kt gold plated sterling silver). Carmela Rose offers a diverse range of jewelry from earrings and bracelets to necklaces, brooches and rings, each piece hand made with care in the United States. Materials are selected for quality and uniqueness from around the world, and we use vintage whenever possible, adding rich history and character to our jewelry.

Carmela Rose Traugot has been making jewelry for more than 17 years. Before launching her own jewelry line, she spent 7 years working in prominent bead stores as a designer, teacher, consultant, salesperson and manager. In this work she traveled, buying and selling some of the finest beads in the world. Her teaching allowed her to design and create projects for her students that got them excited about the craft, encouraging them to discover new techniques and materials. Her jewelry was recognized for creativity, wear-ability, and for having a unique quality unmatched by other designers. During this time she also worked nights and weekends building her business, Carmela Rose Designs. She started selling pieces to four retail stores, at a craft show or two, and at private jewelry parties. Finally, in 2005, she left her full-time job to pursue the growth of her jewelry business. Jewelry Care:

Jewelry should be the last thing you put on to complete your outfit. Apply make-up, perfume, hairspray, etc. before putting on your jewelry. For best results, remove jewelry before swimming or bathing.

Clean your jewelry gently! We recommend a soft silver polishing cloth, which works on sterling silver and gold-filled. Natural sterling silver patina (a.k.a. “tarnish”) will diminish with frequent wear, so wear your jewelry often!

Pearls and gold vermeil are very delicate so we strongly suggest professional cleaning for these materials.

Avoid chemical silver cleaners, as they can strip the surface of your metals and they will cause stones and other materials to crack.
